From 9th December to 1st April, girls take to the slopes!
Rip Curl, the Australian surf brand, has been mobilizing for 10 years to develop feminine involvement in glide sports. After the great success of the three previous editions of the Rip Curl Girls Tour (summer tour dedicated to surf initiations for girls only), Rip Curl has decided to apply the formula to winter.
This winter Rip Curl has organised a free, Girls only, snowboarding and skiing lessons for beginners and intermediates (from 12 years old).
The tour will stop in the twelve best European ski resorts (France, England, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden, Czech Republic).
Every weekend girls will have the opportunity to experience their first freestyle or beginners lesson on the slope. For the advanced riders, the girls will be able to ride on an adapted snow park and will have the opportunity to test their skills on special units particularly shaped for initiation: rails, box, halfpipe, kickers…
In addition to these lessons given by qualified instructors, the Rip Curl Team Pros will be present to offer to these “green riders” demos and advice. They will be there to help not only absolute beginners but also those who have an intermediate or advanced level.
There will also be various activities happening: test of ski and snow equipment with APO Snowboards and ARMADA Ski’s, girl DJ’s spinning tunes while you ride, games (with snowboards, skis, and Davidoff Cool Water fragrance to win) hot chocolate at the end of the day, and workshops dedicated to increase public awareness of mountains protection with the Mountain Riders association, and an evening RIP CURL GIRLS TOUR party (where there will be the to opportunity look at the day’s photos, videos, etc..)
