Second stop of Women’s Freeride World Tour in Fieberbrunn

Last weekend, the second stop of the Women’s Freeride World Tour went down in Fieberbrunn.

In the snowboard category, it was German rider Aline Bock who convinced head judge Cyril Neri with a “simple but very fast and solid line including two jumps”, in front of Austrian Liz Kristoferitsch, who got second and Vivian Aase from Norway.

The skier’s category was once again dominated by Ane Enderud (NOR), who just got back on skis after a back injury that made her miss out on the first stop of the tour in Chamonix (learn more in the exclusive web interview with did with her directly before the event). Second place went to Janette Hargin (SWE) and third to Lorraine Huber (AUT).

The conditions weren’t perfect for such an event as there is still no proper base on the mountains in most parts of Austria, but the riders managed to show some good moves nonetheless.

Next stop is the Nissan Tram Face in Squaw Valley, USA on February 27th, the last event before the big finals at the Xtreme Verbier in Switzerland which will go down on March 20th.
