Last weekend, the world’s top wakeboarders came together in the Netherlands for the Protest Cable Call, 2nd stop of the Wake Park World Series.
With strong winds, choppy waters and a super strong field of contestants, the competition was fierce. The Dutch riders were strongly represented by world champ Maxine Sapulette and Denise de Haan, who didn’t meet before the finals. Although Maxine showed really strong runs all through the event, in the finals it was Sophie Reimers and her amazing run, including a switch backroll to revert, super clean transfer backside boardslides, a switch raley and a blind judge among others, who scored top spot.
The crowd had a great time as well and everyone is looking more than forward to the next event…
