With Spring shining us straight in the eyes this morning, it’s more than time to wake up your decks from hibernation and go back skating! If you haven’t done already…
And what could be better to kick start the season, than a full on girls contest? Exactly, that’s what we thought, which is why we can’t wait for the all girls skate contest Suck My Trucks in the Skatehalle Berlin, on Saturday, April 7th 2012, the Easter Weekend.
But world class action on the street course as well as the vert ramp from the likes of last year’s winners
Diana Kränsel, Candy Jacobs, Kim Wibbelt, Franziska Stolz and Sophie Poppe is long not all. They’ve also set up a huge exhibition on „girls skate history“ including signature stuff from pros like Elissa Steamer or Helena Long, alongside portrait photography from Nikki Toole, who has been capturing and documenting the scene world wide.
Of course such an event has to be celebrated! Which will be executed in the cassiopeia, where hip hop chicks and old schoolers shake to classics by DJ Ill O. (The Smells/Carhartt) & Han Shock (Born 2 Roll), while DJane Sarah Julie Parker will spin some stronger stuff on her turntables upstairs, with the best of rock, metal, indie, and electropop from the last decades. And the third floor is all about dancing your ass off with dubstep, drum & bass and breaks from Antibling Promassive DJ-Team a.k.a. Kite, Quincy Million, Luc Masera and Stinoe.
So what are you waiting for? Tell your family this Easter is for yourself and book a flight to Berlin and check suckmytrucks.de for all the gist.
