After having witnessed the events in Paris last Autumn and Berlin this Summer, we can only say one thing: get moving over there for July 21st!!
But it’s not just the legend himself and his famous circle of friends, including Sandro Dias, X-Games gold medallist and multiple world champion and vert stars Kevin Staab, Jessie Fritsch and Jean Postec you will be watching in an amazing skate performance, but also attend the concert of the enfants terribles of Brit indie rock, Maxïmo Park, whose distinctive post-punk style will close the tour.
In order to give Tony Hawk and his crew the best set-up possible, Quiksilver has the help of one of the UK’s most popular skateboarders, Pete King, who owns the biggest vert ramp in the country measuring in at a huge 4.5m high and 15m wide. The show will be opened by a selection of the UK’s top vert skaters, including X Games Ams (US) winner and Quiksilver rider Sam Bosworth.
The event will take place at the Old Paddling Pool, located at the old (west) Pier on the seafront. Infamous for night time views of the pier and atmospheric vibes Brighton seafront will come to life with a spectacular display of some of the world’s best skating and UK’s top music acts.
