The UK’s beach music and surfing event, the White Stuff Surf Relief Festival, will return to Watergate Bay on Saturday 26th July with an even bigger and better event to raise funds for Surf Relief UK. Organisers hope to raise significant funds for the Surf Relief ‘Surfable’ project, which provides subsidised surfing lessons for disabled and disadvantaged young people.
The Jamie Oliver restaurant Fifteen Cornwall will be jointly hosting a fundraising charity dinner and auction on the evening of Friday 25th July. There’ll be a swanky six-course tasting menu for the evening. Following dinner, guests will be able to bid in a money-can’t-buy auction, with all proceeds going to Surf Relief.
The festival kicks off at 2pm on Saturday 26th July, triggering a packed programme of beach action, pro surfing and live music from the likes of The Stereo MC’s and the Rumble Strips. For the first time, Watergate Bay will host a round of the British Pro Surf Tour competition, with many of the country’s top pro surfers competing in five divisions.
Tickets are a bargainous £10. For the full schedule, click on to the White Stuff website.
