World Rookie Fest goes Cali

Oh yes, that’s right, the infamous World Rookie Fest has spawned its influence globally this year and added a stop in Kirkwood, California coming up this weekend, March 23rd-25th 2012!

And they engaged none lesser than “Father of Freestyle” Terry Kidwell as godparent for the even. Terry had a vision to create a unique freestyle courses for quite some time and the World Rookie Tour is the perfect place for Terry to realize his vision. “I have always wanted to build courses and pipes with a different eye. I’d like to see the riders utilize the whole slope in a slopestyle, not just a straight jump and rail line, as we see today. Kirkwood is stepping up and shares the same vision of creating an iconic event with a unique course design that should be a benchmark for all future events.” We’re looking forward, what this course is gonna look like!

The winners of each category at this event will of course also earn a spot in the Protest World Rookie Finals 2012, in Ischgl, Austria from April 11-15, like the winners of the other stops, to mix up the Euro shredders with some American talent.
