More evidence of Paradise Lost, this time it’s a plastic Armageddon in the Maldives…

Last year we showed you these super worrying shots of trash surfing off Java, Indonesia, where the sea was so full of rubbish it was impossible to take action shots that didn’t show it.

Now it appears the plastic problem is just as bad in the Maldives, according to these pictures shot by surfer and adventure filmmaker Alison Teal of Alison’s Adventures. She’d gone there to shoot her show which didn’t show any rubbish but then returned with photographer Sarah Lee to highlight the scale of the problem.
