Between Easter, magazine deadlines and family gatherings, we completely missed the final rounds of the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach and in case you missed Hawaii’s latest World Champion Carissa Moore ringing the Bell after defeating Tyler Wright, here are some of the highlights for your reviewing pleasure!
Carissa Moore, of Honolulu, Hawaii, has been crowned the 2013 Rip Curl Women’s Pro Champion in clean 3-4ft waves at Bells Beach, and moves up to number one spot in the world. Moore defeated Tyler Wright of Lennox Head, Australia, to ring her first Bell.
Moore opened with an impressive 9.57, followed by two smaller scores by Wright. After a 25 minute lull when the ocean went quiet, Moore posted a second high score to take the lead.
