Jenny Jones does some impromptu coaching at the Cooler girls only session at the HTC One Skatepark Selfridges

Winter Olympic bronze slopestyle medallist Jenny Jones came down to the second Cooler girls only skate session at the HTC One Skatepark at Selfridges last night and even did a spot of impromptu coaching. The reaction showed it wasn’t just the snowboarders who were inspired by her awesome performance in Sochi this past February.

The second and sadly last (as it’s getting demolished at the end of the week) Cooler girls only session was an epic success with over 60 girls skating (watch the vid from the first night here).

Once again the level was super high, with pros including, arguably, the raddest UK skater Lucy Adams (who’d been on holiday for the first one), plus Helena Long and Camilla Mullins there and fully on fire.

Lucy Adams had this to say about the night:

It was really good to get the chance to skate that place and such a good opportunity for so many girls to get together and rip it up. I couldn’t sleep last night due to having such a rad time and getting to talk to Jenny Jones!

Camilla Mullins – Front board down the rail, 5.0 down the hubba ledge! Also she stuck a kickflip over the Big Ben Road Gap was slipped out – nearly got it!

Josie Millard – Kickflip both sets of steps – obviously the bigger set was rad and when doing it again for the photo, she snapped the tail!

Dora Horvath – Boardslide Shuv it out down the rail.

Me maybe – nearly Frontside flip the Big Ben Road Gap L but no cigar and got mad palm bruise! Did a Smith grind on the ledge.

Aimy Brady and Ellie Ford ripped it up. Ellie got tech over the hip and Aimy was tearing up the transition in the place.

Others generally cruising and getting involved were Amy Ram, Anita Almonte, Georgie Winter!

A good load of beginners were getting in on the action too and clearly super inspired by the next level skating they were witnessing. Jenny Jones couldn’t skate as she’s recently had a shoulder op but that didn’t stop her getting involved in some beginner coaching, which was super cool of her. Our fashion ed Britta, skating for the first time, was one such beneficiary.

Jenna Selby was there filming for a new all girls movie project, more details on that when we have them, but in spite of a battery charge mission mid session she got a heap of tricks on film which we can’t wait to see.
