With a little less than a month to go, some more updates on the one and only Wakestock Festival, rocking the UK shores July 12-14 2013!
The crowds will be treated to what is sure to be an epic show from indie torch bearers ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN. Very few British bands have been as hugely influential and distinctive as these guys. The post-punk heroes formed in Liverpool in 1978 and went on to have chart success with hits like The Cutter, The Killing Moon, Silver and Seven Seas.
RALEIGH RITCHIE has been making waves online. People are hearing his name, but still don’t know too much about him. His tracks Birthday Girl, I Know You and New Start feat. Tanya Lacey have been getting interest from fans across the globe, and having recently signed to Columbia records 2013 is proving to be the start of big things for Raleigh Ritchie.
YR EIRA will join them on the line up after taking the title of Wakestock 2013 Battle of the Bands Winer. The competition proved to be hugely popular and Wakestock worked closely with the team at BBC Radio Cymru to listen to the hundreds of entries received.
The latest acts join the likes of EXAMPLE, RUDIMENTAL LIVE, JAMES, BASTILLE, MAGNETIC MAN, WRETCH 32, TWIN ATLANTIC, WILEY, THE 1975, ZANE LOWE, THE TODDLA T SOUND, KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES, LITTLE COMETS and loads more.
