While we’re stuck up north, hopefully waiting for the summer sunshine to arrive, our friends down under have been enjoying a cracking snow season. Next week, the Stylewars 2008 will be kicking off from 24-28 August, and the Falls Creek resort in Australia is getting prepared for the annual onslaught of snowboarding mayhem.
Stylewars continues to be an invite-only slopestyle event with a 4-star Swatch TTR World tour rating. This years event is stacked full of 40 incredible riders from around the globe including Travis Rice (USA), Mikkel Bang (NOR), Torstein Horgmo (NOR), Sebastian Toutant (CAN), Chas Guldemond (USA), Sani Albabic (AUT), ANtti Autti (FIN) and many, many more. The heavy-hitting field gets to enjoy a full week of chilling, music and snowboarding in purpose-built contest parks. With enough snow to build three kickers, the crew at Stylewars have been busy coming up with unique and flowing park features for the event.
Stylewars 2008 is sticking to its roots as a lifestyle comp that will continue its tradition with a week of snowboarding, parties, live music and chilling. So once you’ve dried off your boots, get prepared for a some blistering parties and awesome apres action.
