Rip Curl pushes back the boundaries with its latest Search venture: the search for the highest kicker in the world during an un-ridden, freestyle backcountry trip to one of the most mind blowing and legendary mountains in the world – the Himalaya and its famous summits, Mount Annapurna (8.091m) and Everest (8.848m).
On 10th February 2007, four of Rip Curl’s top team riders (snowboard and ski), who are ranked along side the best in the world, will set off on the record breaking mission. Meeting in Kathmandu, the riders will then face the challenge of building and jumping the highest kickers of world (in altitude), along with searching for natural kickers and performing freestyle tricks on their quest to conquer the world’s highest mountains.
The trip will encompass fifteen days of riding across breath-taking landscape, which will include beautiful temples, villages and virgin white slopes – a perfect playground for dedicated freestyle searchers.
Daily updates, images and videos will be available, along with news, rider profiles and updates.
A dedicated range of clothing including tees, sweaters etc will also be launched to support the trip.
