Roxy Pro Biarritz 2013 cancelled due to awesome weather

One of life’s great bummers is that amazing summer weather in north western Europe almost always equals bad swell. It doesn’t in places like Bali though for reasons we can’t quite work out as we didn’t pay good enough attention in geography class. So while in the UK and beyond we’ve been basking in the awesomeness of this heatwave (especially those of us that live by the sea whoopee!) the Roxy Pro Biarritz 2013 has been cancelled due to five days of zero waves or as Not Dane Reynolds on twitter put it:

Update from Roxy! It’s actually just been postponed until September and will take place at the same time as the Quik Pro September 24-30 just before the final event in this year’s ASP Women’s World Tour title race the EDP Cascais Girls Pro in Portugal October 3-7. Huzzah for that!

We also wrote this piece on whether the ASP should consider moving contests to wave pools when this kinda shiz goes down. Let us know what you reckon.
