For the tenth consecutive year, South Africa’s premiere surf contest, ‘The Roxy Wahine Cup,’ will be attracting the globe’s top female surfing talent to Durban. The popular event will take place over three days, from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 December 2008, at Suncoast Beach on Durban’s Golden Mile… And it looks set to be quite an impressive Birthday celebration.

“Apart from the serious surfing, the event has become popular amongst young girls as an opportunity to socialise with friends and enjoy the surf lifestyle,” said Roxy Marketing Manager, Candice MacNicol.

In addition to watching the top pros, girls wanting to learn to surf will be able to do so under the guidance of professional coaches during the ‘Roxy Learn to Surf Tour’ that kicks off on 6th December during the Roxy Wahine Cup. The tour will move to major beaches along the South African coastline over the festive season with pros on hand to deliver top hints and tips.
