Breckenridge, the Colorado resort that hosts one of our ten favourite snow parks in the world, has come up with a super smart idea. “First tracks Fridays” gives guests staying at the resort’s partner hotels the chance to ride the mountain an hour before regular visitors, so if they time it right weather-wise they’ll get to snaffle up all the powder in town.

Rad if you stay in one of their hotels but you’d be pretty gutted if you weren’t and the worry I guess is that more resorts follow suit and soon we’ll have priority lift queues for those who spend and the ski resort equivalent of a private beach.

Still beanies off to them for a smart idea and fingers crossed seasonnaires get to taste some of that early lift shred bounty too.
