The X Games Munich kicked off last night and despite horrible disappointment over the fact that expect for Enduro Motocross there are no girls invited to compete after rocking Skate Park in Barcelona, the first edition of this mega event went off with a bang.

An awesome one to be precise, with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis rocking what can only be described as a private concert. With not much more than 7000 people  gathering under the infamous glass roof of Munich’s Olympic stadium, you had a full view on the “stage” on a Red Bull branded bus all the time (even when you were an hour late due to traffic on the way back from the Baltic Sea…). Used to crowds of 50.000 people and more, the superstars still had a blast celebrating with the Bavarian crowd, consisting of action sports enthusiasts of all ages and  generations, next to families taking their kids out – Tony Hawk for example…

And despite the fact they won’t be able to see and cheer for their peers, at least half the crowd was made up of girls, women, tomboys, chicks, and princesses showing we’re here, we want to be part of this and we LOVE the sports! We’ll come back with some quotes later today…
