What Would The Night Sky Look Like With No Light Pollution?

Star lovers, you will really appreciate this

You know when you’re in a city and you can’t see the stars because the light pollution hides them? That’s sky glow.

This clever timelapse video from Gavin Heffernan and Harun Mehmedinovic shows what the night sky would look like without light pollution.

They’ve spliced together scenes from downtown Los Angeles with video footage from some of the darkest skies in America. The result is pretty spectacular.

The team have just launched a Kickstarter project to investigate further into what effect light pollution has on the environment. You can read more about it here.
