Even though we’re currently saving up for an autumn/winter 14 Dolce & Gabbana crown to casually wear in the office (and in bed and generally for the rest of our lives), we’re not the biggest high fashion bunnies in the world. We couldn’t help but notice how Tom Ford, the super slick ex-Gucci guy who now kind of does everything including movies, was inspired by cartoons for his winter collection. You don’t see massive KA-POWs on evening dresses every day. The dresses are way too expensive for us (especially since all our savings will be invested into above mentioned crown) so we thought we’d go to the Roy Lichtenstein retrospective at the Tate Modern instead. Lots of cartoony stuff there too, and it’s not just fashion, it’s art. Might even get a poster, who knows, cheaper than evening wear but very similar looking, see below…
