Hello my name is Dasha. I was born in Moscow city and moved to London about eight years ago. I am a photographer and have a blog. Sometimes I get modelling jobs, that’s in fact how Britta and me met. My friend asked me to model for Cooler for some roof top festival shoot, and we have done a lot of work together since. I like London because you can meet all sorts of cool people in this city.

I love travelling, my favourite destinations are Tokyo, St Petersburg and LA to see my friends:

I like taking pictures of my friends and I end up hanging out with models too sometimes. I interned for Cobrasnake in LA a few years ago, now I work with Cooler and Vice magazines.

I use film for my pictures. When I did my A-levels I took black and white film pictures and spent time in the darkroom. Then I studied illustration, but some time ago I decided I was bored of spending all my time in front of a computer doing illustration and started taking pictures. I was lucky to meet photographer Moni Haworth at that time. My other inspirations are Larry Clark and Harmony Korine, though I haven’t watched Spring Breakers yet.

I’m also really inspired by Russia, skaters and teenagers. I’m not sure if I have a style yet, but I think my work is all about youth.
