G-Shock launch iPhone watch

A watch that calls your iPhone when your forgot where you put it!

If that sounds like science-fiction and utopia to you, you should check out the brand new GB-6900 Smart Watch by G-Shock, which apparently does exactly that! But since we’re not exactly tech nerds, we’ll leave the official press release to explain the deets.

Although watches that “talk” to your phone are already available on the market, the new G-Shock range is the first to exploit Bluetooth 4.0 – a low-energy form of Bluetooth that allows the watch to fulfil its functions without compromising on battery life.

The GB-6900’s “Lost Link” features notifies you if you misplace your phone and walk away from the device a distance that threatens to break the Bluetooth link.

The GB-6900 will also sync with your phone’s email and SMS inbox to deliver incoming-communication alerts and sender data direct to your watch’s LED display.

If you have misplaced your phone, a “Find Me” function allows you to press a button on your watch to trigger your phone’s alarm and vibration functions, overriding the phone’s volume settings even if set to silent mode.”
