Director Wes Anderson is one of my all time favourite film heroes for many reasons, one of them being his bad ass girl characters. I love them all. They have attitude, style, strength and a mind of their own.

So I thought who better to do than Suzy from ‘Moonrise Kingdom’? She’s young, but she’s tough. In the film she runs away from home to elope with a young boy scout and they have a romantic couple of days trying to hide from her parents, during which she has her ears pierced with a fish hook, stabs a threatening boy with a pair of scissors, has her first kiss, dances to Francois Hardy on a beach in her pants & gets married… she also has a kitten. Basically Suzy is rad.
