Most people go to a skate shop to buy a new deck but not Lucy Adams! No she decided to take the DIY route and so headed to David Simmons workshop the other month to get hands on and build a custom one. ‘I learned every step of the process from gluing to the shaping with the help of David!’ explains Lucy ‘I then sent my board up to Lovenskate for screen printing and now I’m riding it!’
An awesome creation to call her own, Lucy opted for a retro shape: ‘I just wanted to create something that was totally unique and a bit different for me! I thought it would be rad to make something that was a sick shape but a bit wider and gnarlier. I set it up so that it was a bit more like a cruiser. Turns out it rides street and parks really well too…’
