Hailing from Squaw valley, the land of Shane McConkey and the Game of GNAR, she’s no stranger to having a good time on the mountain, and it really shows in her riding.
Squaw Valley freeskier, Powder Award winner and (in her own words), fun-haver Michelle Parker proves she’s a force to be reckoned with in her latest edit from Matchstick Productions.
MSP, one of the longest standing production companies in skiing, have teamed up with Powder Magazine to bring us some sweet edits, made up from footage from Matchstick’s latest film, Days of my Youth. Here at Cooler we’re pretty stoked that skiing has followed the same line that snowboarding took up a while ago in releasing movie footage for free! Not that we’re stingy, it’s just great for girls, and freesking in general, to have their footage made more accessible so more people can see it and get inspired.
Michelle has been in Matchstick films for a good few years now and she just keeps getting better and better. Hailing from Squaw valley, the land of Shane McConkey and the Game of GNAR, she’s no stranger to having a good time on the mountain, and it really shows in her riding. She looks super comfortable in the air, whether she’s smashing a huge cliff, doing a massive backflip or a switch 180 into the powder. Like girl-of-the-moment, Tatum Monod, Michelle started off as a racer which could well be where she gets her powder legs from!
