This New Film Proves There Is Awesome Backcountry Skiing To Be Found In Scotland

Hiking, camping and skiing powder - this sounds like our kind of Scottish adventure

It’s not often you see a freeski movie filmed entirely in the UK – but that’s exactly what these skiers from Puzzle Media have made.

Earlier this May, a young crew of riders headed north to the Highlands, in search of the remaining snow in the corries and gullies of Glencoe, Ben Nevis and Cairngorm.

They camped, hiked and skied – exploring the backcountry, scoping out steep lines and learning how best to cope with wild Scottish weather.

With interviews from ski icons and adventurers, including Philip Rankin and Myrtle Simpson, the film gives background on the Scottish ski scene as well as documenting the beauty of the country.

Plus it features Cooler’s very own writer and backcountry skier Amy Marwick.

Stay tuned for the free release of the full movie coming soon!
