Age: 30
From: Porthleven, Cornwall, UK

Briefly describe yourself… I am a pro surfer who draws, paints, writes, and hangs out!
Talk us through your average day… Get up at 7, drink 2 cups of coffee, take dog for a beach run, start feeling a bit strange from caffine overload, check surf, go surf… or just watch for hours hoping the swell will pick up, try to discourage green fly from landing in my garden (this is usually done in the form of telepathy), check surf all round the county, country, continent and world on the internet, get a bit jealous that every where is pumping but here. Do the washing up, go surf. Sleep.
How long have you been riding? 14 years.
Best achievement: Learning to duck dive, before then I spent a few exhausted years coughing up sea water.
Best trick: Turning a two into an Ace.
Biggest rush: I hate being late, but I always seem to be. I’m learning to just go with it.
Favourite riders: Mel Redman, Heather Clark, Jake Boex… they all rip and love surfing.
Favourite place to ride and why: Porthleven, it’s my home break and it pumps!
What essential items do you pack in your suitcase for a trip? Nothing’s essential.
Top 3 tunes: Real Me – Layla Astley, Wish You Were Here – Pink Floyd, Rocks Off – Primal Scream.
How do you stay in shape? Hard work. There are no corner-cutting tricks.
Top training tip: Mental attitude.
Favourite foods: Turkish, I made an ace Backlava the other day (though that’s Greek) gosh it was good.
Must-have beauty product: Moisturiser – being a surfer batters your skin.
Beauty tip: It’s only skin deep.
Favourite clothing brands: O’Neill, cool, comfy, classic, cutting edge.
Fashion tip: Be yourself.
Before I die I want to: Live.
