The last week I have been busy filming for Pakistani TV in-between distributing tents to the camps of all the earthquake victims and writing proposals for next years program activities. Quite tiring to work 200% but well worth it! The TV show is part of an adventure sports series on Geo Sports TV, and I am the guest star in two of the episodes. It was really fun to work with the team, and we were lucky with the weather so we didn’t really face any major problems.
They trained me in Paragliding and after some short flights from a 200 feet slope I was taken to a mountain outside Islamabad. Not totally sure of the height, but I had a 8 min flight from there really nice way of enjoying the great landscape, but not the same to fly a canopy without having a free fall first…. Although I like the take offs a lot. It is a bit trying sometimes due to bad launch sites or difficult wind, so you can end up head down in the bushes if you’re not careful as some of my co-flyers did…ha ha. And the feeling of running and then suddenly not reaching the ground with your feet any more and just taking off in a soft and smooth manner is quite pleasant.
The pictures are from Khanpur lake outside of Islamabad where I had my final flight…
