Girls love the pow pow!
After riding for years but never getting really secure on jumps and boxes, I decided the time had come to check out a girls camp. If I can’t bring myself to learn new stuff, sure a bunch of shred eager girls will, no? And indeed they did – although I have to say we were too badly tempeted by all the powder that had dumped on Laax over night…
During ispo I managed to convice Marika, founder and organiser of the infamous girlie camps that bring together girls who shred all kind of stuff, to take me on the next snow camp she set up in Laax in Switzerland. And so I packed my little (or rather huge, I’m a girl after all…) bag and made my way from Bavaria to Switzerland – thanks to the nice people of the Bergbahnen I still got up to the Mountain Hostel although I missed the last gondola due to train lateness in Austria…
Waking up on the mountain (no queus or ellbow rambling for the first chair!!) is already great itself – if it dumped all night it’s better than you can describe in words. So after a very quick breakfast I grabbed some of the other girls for a first run or two before coaching started – no time to chill when there’s fresh pow, eh? And so we went crazy in the white gold all day – tree runs, powder fields and in between a couple of 180s until all power in the legs was gone…
It cleared up in the evening so if my muscles won’t complete kill me from soreness tomorrow it’s gonna be time to get serious – and hit the park!

And together they do stuff they’ve never tried before – for example jibbing a roof…
