If you’re made unemployed, the Danish government has made a law ensuring employees receive 90 per cent of their salary for two years after leaving. This in turn makes companies treat their employees better or risk losing them.

While we don’t have the same laws in the UK, it’s worth noting that not only do Danes love their jobs – but they are the most productive workers in the OECD.
