Harriet The Spy
Harriet The Spy
“There are as many ways to live as there are people in this world.”
This is just one of the many words of wisdom we took with us after watching the classic ’90s film, Harriet the Spy, when we were kids.
She’s the ultimate tomboy – every girl wanted to be her. “I want to see the whole world and I want to write down everything,” she says as she roams around town, spying on adults with a pair of binoculars and writing it down in her notebook.
She threw shoes at her parents, wore the world’s best raincoat and had a habit of climbing into her friends windows rather than ringing to doorbell.
When the Harriet the Spy books were first released in the 1960s, critics disliked her “unladylike” behaviour.
Why do we love Harriet? Because she doesn’t take crap from anyone.
