Skateboarding is so freaking hot right now. Touch it and you’ll need to wrap your whole body in Savlon and cling film. Quite why is anyone’s guess, we’ve obviously always thought it was rad, but whether it’s a few Shoreditch models sporting beanies, Leticia Bufoni’s crossover appeal or the Long Live Southbank campaign getting mainstreamers to tune in, one of our favourite sports is most definitely throbbing. And it’s actually pretty funny to watch.

Need further evidence of its nowness? This Spring the London department store Selfridges has a Board Games campaign going on, which involves them building an indoor public skate park (more on this soon) and also selling these limited edition skateboard decks from super high fashion brands including Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Dries Van Noten, Yohji Yamamoto, Jimmy Choo and Jil Sander.

Whether they’re meant to be mounted on your wall or carried under your arm like a clutch handbag isn’t quite clear but with price tags ranging from £75 to um £9,470 (7) we’re kinda thinking they aren’t for skating Stockwell on!
