We’ve been eyeing up Soul & Surf‘s yoga retreats for a while now.

Based in Kerala, India, you can escape to the spiritual home of yoga while surfing some southern waves at the same time.

Founders Ed and Sofie Templeton have built up their surf camp around healthy eating, catching waves and practicing yoga twice a day, but they’re “not going to lock you up if you also like to unwind with a few drinks in the evening”.

They also have a great approach to sustainable surf tourism, bringing industry to the local community without exploitation. We like their attitude.

They also do pop-up classes in Sri Lanka, Banda Aceh in Indonesia and the Andaman Islands.
