Whatever you ride, all boards are big, hard and pretty heavy.

When you’re out in rough surf, it’s easy to let go of your board. It might feel like your arms may be ripped off, but no one wants a rogue board flying their way!

This is a difficult rule for beginners to follow when a wall of whitewater is coming their way.

Understandably, their first reaction is to throw the board to the wayside and dive under the wave. Don’t do this.

Most surfers really start to take this rule to heart after their first experience of being clocked a round the head because someone else couldn’t keep their shit together… Make sure you’re not that person.
