Take one piece of derelict land, think up a playful use for it and make the world a more fun place to live in. Last year the Building Trust International launched a competition called, ‘PLAYscapes’. The challenge to create something playful out of something derelict was pitched out to architects, students and the public all over the world. Asking people to look around their local environments and think up something creative to do with it. See that abandoned car park and imagine a play park. Wander past that open wasteland and daydream of a… anything is possible!
