Is Meghan Rutledge the future of women’s motocross?

And why Aussie surfer Layne Beachley is her hero

This year the Women’s World Championship is back running its entire calendar alongside the MXGP and MX2 classes, how significant of a change is this?

I think it’s great. I believe it’s definitely a plus for everyone involved. The teams and sponsors get a lot more exposure, the crowds are larger and I love the atmosphere that is created at these events.

Do you look to any other female athletes for inspiration?

Defiantly Layne Beachley, she is such an amazing and inspirational person. I have been lucky enough to spend some time with Layne through her Aim for the Stars Foundation, and found this extremely useful in helping me to achieve my goals.
