Pro Chat: Torah Bright on Sochi: “The judging was all over the place”

Now the dust has just about settled on Sochi, we caught up with halfpipe silver medallist, slopestyle finalist, and boardercross style wonder Torah Bright to chat suspicious Sochi judging, sharing the sport she loves, media shitstorms and how she won’t be following Shaun White into the music industry

Hey Torah, how’s it been going since Sochi, did you have a post-event comedown or have you been enjoying the release in pressure?

Definitely just feeling the release in pressure. No comedown, life just keeps getting better!

What’ve you been up to since the Winter Olympics?

I’ve been mostly back in Australia, doing the media thing. But I was also given the opportunity to race in a celebrity car race at the F1 GP in Melbourne, where I was trained and issued with a cams license. I got to race around the F1 track like it was a video game! Best time of my life!!!

Haha sounds fun. Now you’ve had time to reflect, what were the best and worst things about Sochi?

The best was representing my country and seeing the camaraderie between the riders. The worst would have to be the hard conditions and bad build of the courses.
