8) Vancouver, British Columbia.
Voted the top city in the world to live, we can see why! Vancouver offers the perfect balance between urban life and nature. With Stanley Park literally a few steps north of the downtown area, it is an amazing 1000-acres of trees and nature at its best.
Attracting eight million visitors a year, it is considered one of the greatest urban parks in the world. The 9km Seawall Promenade is ideal for skating along with the trees on one side and the sea on the other. Beware though, you must go clockwise and it gets packed with runners at the weekend! Don’t forget to chill out on one of the 10 beaches Vancouver has to offer too.
