Swatch Girls Pro France 2013 Beach Style (kinda)

*If you like Kassia Meador’s jacket in the shot above, read on to the end of the piece for where you can buy it.

I was at the Swatch Girls Pro France last weekend. What a freaking cool contest that is, as I mention more than just a few times here. One of the things I loved, after the rad ass surfing of course, was the fashion so I thought I’d capture some of it on our iPhone for a sweet beach style kinda post, a bit like this street style one our fashion editor Britta did at Freeze a while back.

So I found my subjects, which wasn’t hard, they were everywhere. And then I shot as many as I could before my phone ran out, which was um only five people as I’d been listening to Spotify on the way over which always drains my phone of juice. Doh! No matter five was a start right but when I got back to our hotel room I realised I’d chopped every single person’s feet off! And the next day I used all its energy doing interviews like this one with Coco Ho. What a total dope.

That (amongst other reasons like you know fashion sense) is why I’m a words person and not a fashion blogger. Still I thought you might like to see the pix anyway and some others I wish I’d taken from behind the scenes at the contest. Mine (in case you can’t tell) are the Kassia Meador shot at the top and three below. Clothes and girls are at least cool right!?

The others, which aren’t quite street beach style either, are pretty damn nice especially this one of Lee Ann Curren and Kassia:

And this of Anne Flore Marxer and the winner Courtney Conlogue:

Then we have Coco Ho looking all dreamy:

And Courtney looking super cool:

And the girls at the press conference at the start of the week:

* On facebook folk have been asking where they can buy Kassia Meador’s jacket shown in the shot right at the top of the page so I emailed her and here is her response:

The coat I was wearing is part of my capsule collection I designed for Roxy Europe. It hits stores this fall (so some time in Sept) but it is only for Europe.

My inspiration for the collection was colours of the earth and the vibe is something you can wear on the beach and out later that night it all works… Clothing that you wear and it tells a story the older and more worn it gets. I also made a sweater, one button up shirt, three tees and a pair of jeans.
