If you went snowboarding or skiing in Scotland this winter (and enjoyed a second straight winter of dope conditions!) we trust you weren’t one of those dirty litter bugs who dropped their lunch wrappers or chucked their cigarette butts off chair lifts. But we also imagine you might want to join the fourth annual Big Spring Clean to tidy up the mountain from those who did. Organised by the Ski Club as part of their Respect the Mountain campaign the Big Spring Clean takes place from 10am on June 12 at Cairngorm mountain, the Nevis range and now also for the first time Glenshee.
Last year 122 helpers turned up to gather 60 bags of rubbish. Want to add to their ranks this year? Then meet at the bottom of the gondola at Nevis Range, at the Ranger Base at Cairngorm or at the Base Cafe at Glenshee. Gloves, bags, and more importantly tea and cake are improved.
Check the Ski Club for more info.
