Not yet convinced? Check out the action-packed schedule…
Each day will start with a yoga session, the perfect warm-up before the surf. There will be two surf sessions each day, where participants can either learn to surf or improve their technique. You’ll be provided with kit, divided into groups according to ability and will receive hints and tips from professional teachers as well as Billabong Pro surfers Léa Brassy and Alana Brennan.
In between surf sessions, you’ll be given tips on how to pick your equipment, choose a wave, how to behave in the water and surf safety. Plus, each day will offer the opportunity to watch surfing videos, chat to pro surfers, attend environment workshops and take part in a hip hop dance class to kick off the evening’s festivities.
You can register online at the Billabong Girls Days website before July 1st, 2008. It’s a first come, first served event so only the first 150 girls will be able to register.
