Carissa Moore takes Rio Pro Brazil 2011

Congrats to the young Hawaiian for winning the Billabong Rio Pro Brazil and making the race for the ASP Women’s World Tour Champion Title tighter than ever! With her victory at the 5th of 7 stops in total, she made competition for the title a lot tougher and even knocked defending champ Steph Gilmore out completely.

Now the only one left with a real chance of catching her is current Cooler cover girl Sally Fitzgibbons, who was defeated in a breath taking neck-on-neck final yesterday. And with back to back victories in Bells Beach and New Zealand, the Australien already proofed that she has what it takes. Easily.

So bring it on girls, we’re looking forward to the next chapter of the final fight at the penultimate event of the ASP Women’s World Tour, the Roxy Pro in Biarritz in July.
