Cornwall Surfer Girls club has won £500 of sponsorship from Mars Refuel, one of only 20 out of 2500 applicants to succeed in their bid. The money will be spent on brand new Swell boards to support the coaching of novice surfers.

Pop along to try them out at their Surfabout club event this weekend. The event kicks off on Saturday 27 September at 11am at the Sandsifter in Godrevy. Members and non-members of all ages and surfing abilities are welcome! There will be two coaching sessions starting at 12pm and 2pm; one for beginners and one for intermediates.

Participants will then move from beach to bar for food and drinks from the early evening onwards. Dave at Sandsifter is providing a spread of delicious food at a cost of £5 a head. Free camping is available overnight outside the Sandsifter.

The cost of coaching is £5 for CSG members and £10 for non-members. If you wish to become a member on the day, the £15 membership fee will instantly give you full BSA insurance which will cover you for all surfing and club activities in and out of the water, plus lots of great discounts at eateries, surf schools and surf kit hire spots around Cornwall.
