Our shredding sisters Stateside were treated to pipes, pampering and progression sessions at the Snow Angels Invitational last weekend.

Gretchen Bleiler’s inaugural Snow Angels Invitational presented by Oakley elevated women’s snowboarding to a new level, bringing together the world’s best female snowboarders to Aspen/Snowmass, Bleiler’s home mountain, for a weekend of progressive halfpipe riding, girlish pampering and environmental education.

Host Gretchen Bleiler blitzed the competition in Saturday’s halfpipe contest with a series of flawless and varied runs. The comp was followed up with a yoga session, some serious pampering and an “Oakley Girl’s Night Out” at the Fly Lounge in downtown Aspen.

An event two years in the making, the Snow Angles Invitational certainly now looks set to be a regular on the snowboarding calendar.
