Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) campaigners will be taking to the road later this month for The Grassroots Tour.
Each year SAS plan a week-long tour that visits key watersports sites around the UK to impart their passion for protecting and improving the UK coastal environment for all to enjoy.
This year’s tour takes place from the 12th – 16th May and the venues are as follows:
12th May: The White Lion, North Street, BRAUNTON, EX33 1AJ
13th May: Glan-Y-Mor Inn, Caerfi Road, ST DAVIDS, SA62 6QT
14th May: The Harbour Hotel, ABERSOCH, Pwllheli, LL53 7HR
15th May: The Centre For Contemporary Arts, 350 Sauchiehall Street, GLASGOW, G2 3JD
16th May: The Watersports Centre, East Strand, PORTRUSH
Talks run from 7pm – 10pm and will cover issues including climate change, marine litter, the key pollution issues of tomorrow, and information on the SAS creative campaigning that’s getting results. There will also be a screening on an environmental surf documentary and a raffle to win Patagonia goodies.
