Fancy some shredding for a good cause..? The NSPCC are launching a new fundraising event called ‘Shred It’ which will be taking place at SNO!zone Castleford in West Yorkshire on 17th May 2008.
This unique ski and snowboarding charity event is a 12-hour ski and snowboarding challenge open to people of intermediate and advanced level. The event will feature on and off slope challenges, time trials and freestyle contests, with slopes featuring slaloms, moguls, and a host of rails and jumps. Entrants must be in teams of three and can be a mixture of skiers and/or snowboarders. Some of the British team snowboarders will also be on-hand at the event showing everyone how it’s done.
Fran Hennessy, events manager at SNO!zone said: “This is the first time we’ve held such a an exciting and fun charity event here and we’re all really happy to be raising money for the NSPCC. We are working hard to devise a number of intermediate and advanced challenges to push competitors to the limit! It’ll be a fantastic day, so please contact us and book your place now!”
Shred It takes place on the 17 May from 10am – 10pm and is open to intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders over 18 years old only. Competitors must enter in teams of three and pay a registration fee of £50 per person. There is a minimum sponsorship target of £350 per team excluding registration fee.
