Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championship

From 24th May, the world’s top junior surfing stars are set to gather on France’s southwest coast, where they will compete for the 2008 Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championship.

The globe’s best groms will be returning to France for the first time since 1992 to compete for honours in the U18 Boys, U18 Girls and the U16 Boys divisions.

Almost 300 competitors will be grouped into national teams, with 28 countries sending their best wave-riders to compete. In addition to the individual World Junior Champions titles, they will also be competing together for the Junior Team World Champion title, hoping to pinch the trophy from Australia who won it last year in Portugal.

A ‘Parade of Nations’ tour will take place in Hossegor on May 24th, culminating in the Sands of the World Ceremony… and probably a few cheeky under-age ales.
