Freestyle sessions and freeride runs, parties, prizes and the legendary wild boar BBQ: the snowboard and freeski scene is looking forward to the Snickers Nordpark Sessions 2008 presented by Atomic & Nike ACG. A bundle of international riders will be heading to Innsbruck’s Nordpark from February 20-24 to take part in the snowpark, halfpipe and freeride sessions.

A bunch of non-cash prizes are also up for grabs at the Skyline Expression Session, Hit da Pipe and Check The Ripper competitions…

Slopestyle: Skyline Expression Session
On February 21st, the Skyline Expression Session will kick off the Snickers Nordpark Sessions. A huge kicker and a quarter-pipe will be built to guarantee sick riding, with photographers and film-makers on hand to capture all the action. The results will be shown at the post-contest party at Jimmyz snowboarding bar.

Superpipe: Hit da Pipe – Night Pipe Session
For this Friday evening comp, the pipe will be perfectly groomed for the exclusive use of all inscribed riders. A cosy chill-out tent with food and hookahs will be waiting for those in need of a little R&R.

One for all: Nordpark Check the Ripper
The Check the Ripper contest on February 23/24 aims to select the perfect all-round rider. The contest course contains all kinds of rideable terrain, and the winner will be the one with the quickest run through three different sections. First, the course will lead through the park where riders can earn a massive time bonus performing freestyle tricks on two different elements (corner & kicker). The second section will flow through well shaped banks, then the last section of the course is a steep off-piste slope with very few gates.

Prizes
The winners of the Snickers Nordpark Sessions will be rewarded with prizes worth €15.000, including mountain bikes, surf boards, holidays, kit, snowboards, clothing and plenty more.

After Contest Party
Innsbruck’s Jimmyz bar will be the party area for the whole week starting on Wednesday, February 20th 2008, with the Snickers Warm-Up Party. After the Check The Ripper contest, the legendary wild boar BBQ will be set alight at Hungerburg, followed by the prize-giving and live gigs at Jimmyz.
