Sunday 29th March – Saturday 4th April, Mayrhofen, Austria
So what have you always wanted for a 10th Birthday? A bike, a tree house, roller skates!? Snowbombing has gone one, two, three times better and unleashed its biggest, brashest and most audacious winter present yet.
Already unwrapped and dripping with yellow snow excitement for the 10th Birthday celebrations, Fatboy Slim will praise Mayrhofen in a rare Alpine performance along with Iced Jem treats from the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Grandmaster Flash, The Cuban Brothers and Reverend and the Makers amongst an avalanche of other DJ’s and live acts.
But that is just the first squeeze of excitement in a long line of cool, frosty and down right impressive pressies to be delivered to your door, starting with Manchester indie Kings The Courteneers, plus Radio 1’s new music champions Zane Lowe and Annie Nightingale.
Painting the slopes red will be Electro Grindcore enthusiast Fake Blood, along with electro-pop from La Roux, some harmonious indie tunes from Red Light Company, quintessential rock from Soft Rocks, songstress Kathy Diamond, flamboyant punk-grime from Charli XCX and one of Japan’s hottest DJ’s – Shinichi Osawa.
Tickets are on sale now for Snowbombing 2009 ranging from £249 to £379 for 6 nights accommodation plus an event wristband – various options are available with self-catering apartments, B&B or 3* and 4* hotels all on offer. Equipment hire, lift passes, cheap flights to Salzburg and Innesbruck, airport transfers, winter sports insurance and coach trips from the UK are some of the many add-ons available via Snowbombing’s website, snowbombing.com.
