Spring has almost sprung, and with it comes the arrival of the annual Spring in the Park freeski and snowboard camp. Taking place at Terrain Park, Zugspitze from March 15-30 2008, the event will offer two weeks of freestyle fun, and hopefully a spot of sun. With free expert coaching, kit tests and a ‘Sponsor Me’ contest on March 29th, the camp sponsored by K2 Sports and Ride looks set to be a springtime highlight.
The Girl’s Week
Top ski and snowboard pros from the K2 and Ride teams will be on hand to advise riders how to perfect their tricks on rails and kickers. During the Girl’s Week from March 16-23 2008, Michelle Parker (USA) will be coaching the female slopestyle skiers, while Ursina Haller (SUI) and Tanja Baumgartner (AUT) will take care of the snowboard girls. Lots of other treats are also in store for the female participants, including a ‘Girls Only’ party at the Hausberg Lodge.
Throughout the week, participants will have the opportunity to test the newest K2 and Ride 2008/09 ski and snowboard equipment for free. Then on Saturday March 29th, the ladies can showcase their new-found skills at the ‘Sponsor Me’ contest, where the winners could bag a coveted sponsorship deal with either K2 Skis or the Ride snowboard team.
