From January 2007 UnderTheHat Clothing will be taking over the Zeb bar in Southampton on the last friday of every month to showcase new products and try to help out as many people as they can along the way.
The night is called Visual Tourettes and at the events the walls are going to be covered in canvases from up-and-coming global artists (with a different theme each month), top hip-hop DJ’s from the south of England will be spinning tunes and independent skateboard and BMX videos will be shown on the big screen TVs.
The nice thing about it is that it doesn’t matter who you are – if you want to show your DVD or art to an audience then you are allowed, you’re also allowed to try to sell it at the event too (if you can’t make it down they’ll even do it for you and paypal the money!).
The only rules are…
DVD: It must work on their dodgy DVD player (quicktime format is cool). It must be a BMX/Skateboard/Rollerblading DVD. It must be with the organisers at least a week before the event you want to show it at.
ART: It must stick to the theme. It cannot be over 80cms in size.
